Implants are great and have had an enormous impact on people’s wellbeing and confidence after losing a tooth.  They are strong, stable and reliable. In certain circumstances however Dental Implants are not always the best or most appropriate solution.  Cases exist where it is not possible to utilize implants for a variety of reasons, or there could have been failure of a previous implant placement.  What are the options then?  Dental bridges may just be the way to go.

Dental bridges are often overlooked in this day and age but need some re-evaluation.   The old school type bridges had the distinct disadvantage of cutting down adjacent teeth to allow them to fit and be retentive.

Technology has moved on and we now have excellent strength and aesthetics from all porcelain bridgework which can be reliably bonded to an adjacent tooth with minimal or sometimes no drilling of natural tooth enamel.  This gives (in the right case) clear advantages when it comes to cost, time and a minimally invasive procedure.

To see what option best suits your particular needs, ask our friendly team of dentists at Brookfield Road Dental Kenmore.
